FIAMMA MORELLI1955 - 2022

Was born in Orbetello, in Tuscany, and she studied in the Art School 'Duccio Buoninsegna' in Siena.
Charmed by hyperrealism of Flemish origin, the first period of her first artistic path moved on these routes, favouring those leading her towards surrealism and metaphysics. Later, the artist got close to eastern culture, to ancient techniques, until she adopted the use of paddle, Chinese brush and chalcographic engravings, to reach her full maturity with abstract expressionism.
In 1982 she opened, in Rome, the permanent exhibition of her works and, at the same time, her educational activity in her atelier. Since 1992 she has devoted herself to the teaching and to the creation of objects using Raku technique and glass fusing. Since 1998 she has extended her knowledge of the therapeutic use of colour with the technique "Pranic Healing" and Cromopuncture.
In 2006, in Rome, she is the founder of the Cultural Association "L'XI MUSA", a centre for arts and disciplines whose aim is to activate the creative power, and a permanent exhibition area.
Since 2012 professor Vittorio Sgarbi, who wrote for the artist several really appreciated critical profiles, professor Giulia Sillato, who invited her to join Metamorfismo©, and professor Giammarco Puntelli has invited her to partecipate in her prestigious cultural projects.
In 2016 she joined the Movement "Il Metateismo© by Davide Foschi".
Using her works of art she creates bags and fabrics for foulards, scarves and Pashminas.
Since 2015 Pitsart has been cooperating with the artist. Her works belong to private collections in Italy and abroad.
She worked with the critic Giorgio Grasso, her works are in a permanent display in the Mediolanum Art Gallery in Padua. Some of her partecipations abroad
Fukuoka, Montréal, Pomona, (Los Angeles), New York, Paris, Berlin, Cologne, Sydney, London, Brussels, Helsinky.

For years she has been present in periodicals, yearly reports and national and international catalogues, and in the Catalogo Arte Moderna Moderna n°48,49,50 and 52 as well.
Her works are part of private collections in Italy and abroad.
Her works can be seen on display in Rome at Stressless, via Merulana 10;
in Orbetello (GR) at the Paragrano Cultural Center, Piazza Plebiscito 10;
and in her studio in Fara in Sabina (RI), where works executed in ceramics and glass fusion are also exhibited.

For me, painting is...
leaving from my Centre and going further, looking for a new Balance, Breaking Schemes, Disobeying the orders of any Mental/Cognitive Structure, in the Absolute Nothingness, Floating in the Sound of Silence.
Over any emotion.
